I agree with Second Hand Lions, Finding Forrester and would add Saving Private Ryan, Himalaya, and Children of Men.

Great list... a few of my fav's too! Im a military Mom also. My son is in the Navy and will be going to Iraq in October. Thank your son for his service to our country. God Bless him and all of the soliders fighting this awful war. Happy TT:)
My favorite on your list is As Good as It Gets. I can watch that movie over and over.
